Kitchen at Hospice Lovisenberg.
My concept was to restore the original kitchen in the house and adapt it to the needs of today’s users. During the day the hospice is open for patients who still live at home. Also the relatives of the patients in the hospital can use the kitchen to prepare a meal or rest a while. This results in flexible working space where courses can take place and the possibility for people in wheelchairs to work independently. As the rooms on this floor are quite elegant, I created an area that is more familiar to what people know. In my search for materials, colors and the designing of the furniture, I got inspiration from the detailing used in the house and the original drawings of the kitchen furniture.
